Today QualityWings released a major update to their high-fidelity Ultimate Boeing 787 aircraft add-on for the Lockheed Martin Prepar3D version 4 flight simulator.
QualityWings made the announcement today from their Facebook page.
The major update to version 1.1.3 is free of charge for current owner’s and includes the following new and innovative features:
- Physics Based Rendering (P.B.R.) for exterior models for Lockheed Martin‘s Prepar3D version 4.4 and above.
- Remote Control Display Unit (C.D.U.) functionality, by Mark Forti, allows for the use of the Electronic Flight Bag (E.F.B.) and Lower MultiFunction Display (L.M.F.D. or C.D.U.) on your Apple iPad, tablet or smartphone. I’ve previously published a report on the Remote C.D.U. E.F.B. back on January 22, 2019 and can be read by clicking here. More information on the the Remote C.D.U. can be found by clicking here. Briefly, the remote C.D.U. can be downloaded for free by clicking here. The license of the E.F.B. must be purchased for $10 Euros (EUR) or approximately $13.42 United States Dollars (U.S.D.) for it to work. The E.F.B. license will work with both the Precision Manuals Development Group (P.M.D.G.) Boeing 747–8 and the QualityWings Boeing 787 E.F.B.’s, thus purchases multiple licenses is not necessary.
- Addition of “Enroute Wind capability, allowing you to manually enter enroute winds or uplink them directly from ActiveSky.” “All you need to do is program your route and perform a WIND REQUEST on the RTE DATA page in the CDU. The 787 will automatically pick the closest weather stations to your route and uplink the information for more accurate ETA and Fuel Predictions. ActiveSky is required to be running for wind uplinks to work.”
Additionally, the update fixes numerous issues and isolated crash to desktop (C.T.D.) events, while providing further optimizations .
Current owners are highly recommended to do a clean install. Briefly, do a complete uninstall followed by a complete reinstallation. Other update options and a complete change log is available by clicking here.
Thank you so very much QualityWings crew for the update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m looking forward with Great anticipation, Eagerness and Enthusiasm to the release of lengthened Boeing787–10 by QualityWings to add to their Ultimate Boeing 787 fleet.
I most certainly hope there are no Hold-Up’s by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) and/or the Boeing Company and/or the Lockheed Martin Corporation and/or Microsoft, in the release of the QualityWings Boeing 787-10.
