The Boeing Company has announced the launch of their latest Boeing Business Jet (B.B.J.) based on their new and updated Boeing 777X (B777X), which now has folding wing tips and large touch screen displays for the pilots in the flightdeck, termed B.B.J. 777X.
“Two versions of the jets have been made, the BBJ 777–8 and 777–9, with the latter offering a slightly shorter range of 11,000 nautical miles (20,370 kilometers) but boasting a larger cabin,” according to Pitcheta (2018).
Pitcheta (2018) goes on to state, “The BBJ 777X planes will have a range of 11,645 nautical miles (21,570 km), enabling them to offer the longest commercial flight in the world.”
This business jet should have a little more leg and elbow room.
“With list prices for the 777-8 and 777-9 just under and over US$425 million, the BBJ 777X is expected to send the price skyrocketing, begging the question, how many will Boeing sell and who exactly would want to buy one?” (Hilsz-Lothian, 2018).
