You know... I ah.. ugh jeez... I don't know man... Last we heard from Next Level Simulations they were boasting that the NLS A380 would be the most detailed simulation ever created just before disappearing into the abyss again and removing the NLS Facebook page. That statement was back in June of 06, They were drawn out of their hole last time because some fraud site out of Iran was claiming it as their own product and selling... well selling nothing to people who did not listen to the warnings here on ADX and elsewhere and wound up with nothing after payment. NLS resumed development for a short while showing a lot of progress then tapered off and that was after the team dropped the project the first time.
The good news is, NLS is finally gone because there is nothing worse than a developer making so many promises, dangling the carrot, dragging us all through the mud, and disappearing. Only to reemerge, do it all over again then quit again over a period of years. We were covering this project all the way back to the old blog when they announced they were quitting the first time. Last time they didn't even bother to do that as a courtesy.
Well now supposedly they sold the materials (not to FSL, they should have just given it to FSL) but to another unheard of developer who is now making promises. This should be VERY interesting. I won't go any further into it but feel free to tap that source link if you want to know more. All the best to this new team but you will understand if I don't hold my breath. Thanks to ZK for the tipoff.
Oh and one last thing. Beware who you send money to. I wouldnt throw it in this direction. Let them kickstarter it so at least if you must throw money at it you have a chance to get it back if they don't deliver...
Update: Looks like the FB page is gone. My best advice going forward is ignore anything regarding the NLS A380 and anything resembling it in the future. I think I speak for everyone when I say we have had enough of this shit.
